It has been three weeks since I last written an entry for MostlyGeek. The time after getting back from vacation always seems to be the busiest. Fortunately I’m encumbered by the best kind of busy: fun and interesting projects.
Here is a list of what’s cooking:
- New sutton.com website to be launched in April! Yay! I’m especially happy about this since it has been a 2 year project. While not two years of solid programming, getting through all the analog stuff of building and releasing a website representing around 8,500 REALTORS® really takes a while. :)
- Our new bigger Peer1 cage. It’s still being readied, but 98sq/ft of cage space. That is a lot of room for servers (and a hammock)! It’ll be fun to add in those new racks, switches, multi-coloured network cables. More blinky lights!
- We’re moving offices, so I get to play with lots really cool new toys. I was never an audio/video geek in high school but they got some real neat stuff. I’m looking forward to testing out Geometry Wars Retro Evolved on the 80″ HDTV screen… *drool*
So I’ll have plenty of blog-able material coming down the pipe. Vacations are great but it is also great to be back.
