Crossfit Workout #8 - Push Press Bruises

I shall introduce this with well earned bruises:

Push Press Bruises

How does one get bruises on their collar bone from working out? By having a sadistic trainer that makes them do a lot of push presses. I’m not complaining. After the work out I felt great. Tired but great. Intense exercise that pushes you past your limit, when you don’t listen to your body screaming STOP, is an indescribable feeling. You get high on it.

A break down of last Thursday’s work out:

  1. Warm up: Basic Parkour. Very fun. You’ve probably seen the much talked about chase scene from James Bond: Casino Royal. Here’s a video of what it’s all about. Amazing what the human body can do.
  2. Technique: Rope climb and Sumo Deadlift Highpull
  3. Work out: 7 sets. Reps of 21-18-15-12-9-6-3 of the Sumo Deadlift Highpull followed by a Push Press with a 65lb bar. This is a push press:
  4. Let me tell ya this workout is killer.
