Crossfit Vancouver Workout #13 - The Bear!

I am getting close to finishing Crossfit Junior High, another 2 sessions and I’ll be ready to join the group classes. I think my trainer sees the end is near and he’s been totally kicking my ass the last few work outs. This weekend I have home work: 2KM run and 125 burpees for time! This workout I’m going to break into 5 sets of 400M run followed by 25 burpees. If I don’t blog about it by Tuesday, I died.

This was yesterday’s workout and it deadly:

  • Warm up: 50 Kettle Balls (the green one, which is about > 25lbs I think).
  • Technique: practice of the dead lift, the clean and the push press.
  • Work out, The Bear:
    • 20 minutes. 1 set per minute
    • Each set: 5 x dead lift. 5 x hang squat cleans. 5 x push press.
    • This is one of the most intense work outs I’ve ever done at Crossfit. I usual cheery personality didn’t shine through while doing this exercise. It’s still hard to type.
    • I did 12 sets in 20 minutes with a 67lbs bar. This isn’t an amazing time but it was very intense and I was completely spent after the work out.
