Testing Out Writely for blog posts…

by Benson Wong

With all the buzz about Writely, and a recent mention on Boing Boing about it being able to publish to blogs, I had to try it out. I use WordPress here at MostlyGeek and the default editor is great, but it still leaves a bit to be desired. I’m sure I can add in lots of plug-ins to add addtional functionality but using Writely is very compelling.

Autosaves (yay), development paid for by Google, lots more editing features, zow! Setting up writely was also quite easy. I just pointed it at Wordpress’ XML-RPC interface, set up credentials, clicked the test button and everything was ready to go.
