Zone food log, Oct 3/4 2008

Breakfast:

two eggs
two sausages
left over ham
orange

Lunch: Chicken salad.

Dinner: ground turkey wrap.

My groceries. Looking more and more healthy.

Snack.

Latte
Oak bar

Late night food experimentation. Last week it was too much ham. So this week it is Beef Week. I prepared some beef patties, lean ground beef, white onion, peppers and mushrooms. This is how I made it.

Zone Food Log, Oct 2 2008: Can’t eat any more ham and eggs.

Basically the same thing as yesterday. And the day before. And the day before that. 

Breakfast: ham, egg, cheese omelet
Lunch: same
Dinner: turkey wrap
Snack: protein powder with Coconut milk
1 apple 
1 bag of nuts  
1 peach + a few grapes

Zone food log, Sept 30 and Oct 1, 2008

Now that I’m eating essentially the same thing everyday it’s easier to combine this food log. 

Breakfast - omelet, 2 eggs, cheese, ham, peppers and red onions. A pear/orange/apple.
Lunch - same as breakfast. A pear/orange/apple. 
Dinner - unfortunately I don’t have a routine for these yet. That’s something I’m going to need to figure out next week. [...]

*Revised* How Many Zone Blocks I need To Eat

Thanks to some great suggestions from Kelly and Paul on my initial Zone calculations post, I revised the numbers to get closer to the 2000 calories a day.
I have 138lbs of lean body mass, so 138/7 = ~ 20 protein zone blocks a day. Following Kelly’s suggestions, I’m keeping carbs at 16 blocks and tripling [...]

How Many Zone Blocks I Need To Eat

A few weeks back I wrote about much I need to eat. However, the numbers really didn’t really make sense using the Zone ratio calculations of 30% protein, 40% carbs and 30% fat for calories. They seemed extremely high as I couldn’t imagine attempting to consume 240g of protein a day.
